this christmas i am thankful for all of the EXTREMELY thoughtful gifts everyone gave me - proof that it really is the thought that matters....or i am just very easy to please. (probably a bit of both)

but seriously my mom gave me a book i had been interested in about christian the lion (see video below), my dad MADE me a mirror from some of my grandpa's old harness equipment for my pony teddy, and my grandma gave me two jars of homemade strawberry jam. really guys? it was the best christmas ever.

also for the past month and a half i have developed a borderline obsession with gogol bordello - and tonight my 14 year old sister proclaimed to me that she really likes them.

this is a christmas miracle!

i have secretly always been a bit bummed that my sister and i did not share many interests - we are already a decade apart in age and i just can't seem to convince her that i am actually, maybe, a little bit cool. but i think this is my time to shine because not only do we now have gogol bordello (which is totally out of character for her), she totally flipped her shit over the shoes i got her for christmas. tally up my high school cool points yo! i am gunning for sister of the year!

merry christmas everyone! watch this video - it makes me so happy and it will probably make you happy too.

<lj-embed id="13" />

today i learned that my dog has lymph node cancer. it is really sad because i found him when he was a little puppy abandoned on the side of the road and now we will probably have to put him to sleep. i guess the only good thing (?) is that he is really old so he is not getting robbed of good dog years. poor john.

one good thing today is that i paid off most of my bills. now if i can just save up money i will be set. i got a new bike yesterday too - a yellow schwinn collegiate. it rules.

now i have to go to work.
